Speak Out
Being pro-choice means protecting women’s access to safe, legal abortion. It also means working on ways to help reduce the need for abortion, like improving access to birth control. And it means supporting women who choose to carry their pregnancies to term.
There are many ways to support your values and convictions. It’s time to speak out to let people know that Abortion IS Healthcare and that Healthcare IS a Right! Register to Vote and Vote Pro-Choice One of the best ways to be heard is the simplest – vote for officials that believe the way you do – vote pro-choice. In NH, you can find out about registering to vote and upcoming elections on the Secretary of State’s website, http://www.sos.nh.gov/vote.htm. Talk with Friends and Family Let them know that you understand the complexity of making a decision about a pregnancy and that you are a safe person to talk to. Support Equality Health Center Donate or volunteer! At the local level, we work diligently to provide women with accurate information and support, trusting them to make the best decision for themselves. At the state and federal level, we work tirelessly towards protecting abortion and other reproductive rights. Make Your Pro-Choice Voice Heard Contact your elected representatives and tell them that you’re a registered voter and pro-choice advocate. Support pro-choice politicians with your vote and financial contributions. Write letters to your local newspapers advocating women’s reproductive rights. |
